AI course fees in India: what you actually pay for

How much does an AI course cost in India?

Short answer

AI course fees in India vary enormously because the formats are not comparable. Recorded video courses are often free or a few thousand rupees, applied live mentor-led programs typically run from the tens of thousands, and university or institute AI qualifications can run into lakhs. What you are really paying for is contact time with a mentor, cohort size, whether you build with your own data, and how long the program runs. School of AI's GenAI Foundation Program is currently ₹16,900 + 18% GST (₹19,942 total; regular fee ₹19,999), and the AI & Automation Program is currently ₹29,999 + 18% GST (₹35,398.82 total; regular fee ₹49,999). Because both are live and online, the fee is the same in every Indian city.

What drives the price

Two courses at very different prices are usually selling different things.

  • Live mentor time versus pre-recorded video
  • Number of sessions and total program length
  • Whether your own work is reviewed, or only generic exercises
  • Cohort size — feedback does not scale to thousands
  • Whether the outcome is a certificate or a working system you keep

AI course fees by city: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata

Classroom institutes price differently by city because of rent and travel. Online live programs don't. School of AI's fees are identical whether you join from Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Indore, Jaipur or a smaller town — you attend the same live sessions with the same mentor.

Is a paid AI course worth it?

Free material is abundant, so you are not paying for information. You are paying for sequence, judgement and feedback — someone experienced telling you what to apply to your specific work and correcting it. That is the difference between knowing about AI and being able to use it.
